POLICE OFFICERS PATROLLING WINDSOR TERRACE WILL MEET WITH RESIDENTS

Meeting with Neighborhood Coordination Officers for Windsor Terrace
                            Thursday, October 27th, 7:00 p.m.

The two Neighborhood Coordination Officers who patrol Windsor Terrace, Greenwood Heights, and South Slope will meet again with residents and business owners in those three neighborhoods.

Police Officers Dan McGrath and Francis Ghanney will hold the third monthly community meeting on Tuesday, October 27th, at 7:00 p.m

The meeting is only for people living and/or working in the three neighborhoods, shown as Sector A within the 72nd Precinct on the map below.

McGrath and Ghanney will be updating the community about crime and other conditions that they address and are currently combating.

They invite you to voice your concerns and complaints and tell them about any conditions you're dealing with that would be of interest to the police.

Concerns might include

  • violent street crime,
  • home burglaries,
  • stolen packages,
  • pedestrian and bicyclist safety, and
  • persistent loud noise.

The 72nd Precinct was divided into four sectors several months ago, as part of a new policing model ("community policing"). Before that, the precinct had eight sectors. As a result of the reapportionment, additional officers were assigned to the precinct.

An article in Brooklyn Reporter explains the significance of this new way of policing.

Officer McGrath's phone number is (917) 853-2601. His e-mail address is daniel.mcgrath @ nypd.org. Last October, he was named Police Officer of the Year.
