FREE CONCERT ON MEMORIAL DAY AT GREEN-WOOD CEMETERY

Annual Memorial Day Concert
Monday, May 30th, 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.

A free Memorial Day concert at Green-wood Cemetery will feature the ISO Symphonic Band, founded in 1995 to sponsor talented students throughout New York City and led by the band’s founder and conductor Brian P. Worsdale.

The featured works will be by Green-Wood’s permanent residents: Fred Ebb, Louis Moreau Gottschalk, Leonard Bernstein, and many others.

Local vendors will be selling food and drink throughout the day.

Although the concert is free, it will be helpful for gauging response if people register here. Optional donations would be appreciated.

At 5:00 p.m., immediately after the concert, a special Memorial Day trolley tour with Green-Wood historian Jeff Richman will show highlights of Green-Wood and veteran connections.

Fee for trolley tour: $15 for members of Green-Wood and Brooklyn Historical Society; $20 for nonmembers.

Because seating is limited, making reservations is recommended. Please click here for trolley tour tickets. Green-Wood trolley tours are fully accessible and ADA compliant.

These events will take place rain or shine.
