DONUTS THAT ARE AMONG THE BEST ARE SOLD IN WINDSOR TERRACE

Carpe Donut NYC just opened a seasonal pop-up shop in Windsor Terrace, where it's selling its acclaimed "hot, fresh, homemade donuts, made with the highest-quality organic and locally sourced ingredients."

The shop is on Prospect Park Southwest and Vanderbilt Street, near Vanderbilt Playground.

Carpe Donut describes its ingredients:
"We only use the finest ingredients including organic flour, local eggs, local apple cider and organic spices. We cook all our donuts in 100% pure soybean oil. No hydrogenation, no trans-fats, no shortening."
Besides donuts, they sell organic coffee, Italian style hot chocolate, and fresh mulled hot cider.

The shop is open Tuesdays through Fridays, from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays and Sundays, from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

Since 2013, Carpe Donut NYC has parked its red food truck on several streets in Manhattan (46th and 6th, 51st and Park, 55th and Broadway, Broad and Wall, and more) and one in Brooklyn (Bergen and Court). The donuts are made in the truck, on the spot. Every date, the truck's location is posted on Twitter.

Thrillist chose Carpe Donut as one of "NYC's 9 Best Donut Shops" in 2014. The New York Times included it in 2014 in its list of the 10 best in New York City. Gothamist named it as one of the 7 best donuts in 2013. And New York Magazine's Grub Street put it among "This Year’s [8] Best Doughnuts, From Butternut to Boston Cream" in 2013.
