66th Precinct National Night Out Against Crime
Tuesday, August 4th, 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
"National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, better places to live."
National Association of Town Watch and National Night Out

The 66th Precinct will observe the 32nd annual National Night Out Against Crime by featuring

  • free food,
  • free rides,
  • free games,
  • a free petting zoo,
  • giveaways...
  • and more.

The event will take place in front of the 66th Precinct's station house at 5822 16th Avenue, between 58th and 59th streets, in Borough Park.

Introduced in 1984 by The National Association of Town Watch, National Night Out's goals are to

  • heighten crime and drug prevention awareness,
  • generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime efforts,
  • strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and
  • send a message to criminals letting them know neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.

For more information about National Night Out, contact the 66th Precinct's Community Council Affairs Office at (718) 851-5601.

National Night Out is an annual event held on the first Tuesday in August.
