LOCATIONS OF HAZARDOUS STREETS IN WINDSOR TERRACE

Residents with safety on their minds have joined together to focus the attention of city agencies on hazardous streets and intersections in Windsor Terrace. They are concerned about traffic safety and street safety for pedestrians, cyclists, and motorists alike.

To help this group of residents pinpoint the neighborhood's worst trouble spots, fill out the brief survey that they've put together--"Windsor Terrace Street Safety Concerns"--and posted at https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/VFCKHG2. They want to hear your thoughts on the factors that contribute to a lack of pedestrian safety, and they want to know which areas you think should be taken care of first.

This summer, the group will call a public meeting of the community to share the survey results. They'll also be looking for additional volunteers to work on behalf of safety issues. They then intend to get the Department of Transportation and the NYPD involved in improving safety on the streets that you've prioritized.

If you have any questions about this effort toward safer conditions, send an e-mail to windsorterracesafety @ gmail.com.

The Windsor Terrace residents who are currently organizing this effort are Archina D'Agostino, Carlyn Kolker, Maria D'Agostino, Chris Thayer, Ryan Lynch, Lisa Perlmutter, and Jessica Foreman. Thank you, folks!
