MUSICALS: LINCOLN CENTER COMES TO KENSINGTON ON MAY 7TH

"Ring Them Bells! A Kander & Ebb Celebration"
Wednesday, May 7th, 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Kander and Ebb, a composer and a lyricist, created memorable songs for stage musicals and movies as well as for singers Liza Minelli and Chita Rivera.

The Kensington Library will present a free screening of Lincoln Center's tribute to John Kander and Fred Ebb: "Ring Them Bells! A Kander & Ebb Celebration." The concert was broadcast on PBS last year on "Live From Lincoln Center."

Rob Fisher is the creative director and musical host for the concert, which features actors and singers Marin Mazzie, Jason Danieley, Joel Grey, and Chita Rivera.

All screenings include  refreshments, an artist host, and a ticket raffle for a performance at Lincoln Center.

The event is family-friendly. All ages are welcome. No registration is required.

The duo wrote all of the songs for "Cabaret," songs for television's "Liza with a Z," the songs "New York, New York," "Chicago," and "Diamonds Are Forever" and many more.
