HEAT WARNING FOR MOST OF THE WEEK

Please be careful out there, folks.
Notification issued 7/13/13 at 5:15 PM. The National Weather Service has issued a Heat Advisory for New York City from noon on Sunday 7/14 until midnight Monday night, 7/15.

In addition, the heat index is expected to be near or above 95 degrees through Thursday, 7/18.

These conditions are dangerous to health. Avoid strenuous activity. People without air conditioning, older adults, and people with chronic health conditions are most at risk.

New York City will open cooling centers beginning tomorrow, Sunday 7/14 through Thursday 7/18. Tomorrow, visit http://www.nyc.gov/oem or call 311 for cooling center locations and hours.
