SUPPORTERS OF THE GOLDEN FARM BOYCOTT OUT IN FORCE

Demanding back pay and a union contract for Golden Farm workers, fistfuls of supporters picketed Golden Farm Wednesday, Thanksgiving Eve, on one of the busier grocery shopping days of the year. It is thanks to the community boycott, organizers claim, that Golden Farm owner Sonny Kim has recently agreed to pay employees (a pittance) of the  back pay he acknowledges owing them in a signed settlement. But without a union contract between Mr. Kim and the Retail, Wholesale Department Store Union, United Food and Commercial Workers (RWDSU/UFCW) to protect them, his workers could be fired— back pay or no.
