FRIENDS OF KEY FOOD SPACE AND WINDSOR TERRACE ALLIANCE: IN SEARCH OF WALKERS AND TALKERS

June 28th Windsor Terrace Rally against Walgreens

Friends of Key Food Space and Windsor Terrace Alliance are in search of volunteers for every block in Windsor Terrace who will collect signatures on petitions, hand out fliers and signs, and communicate with their neighbors about the latest developments at the former Key Food site.

To help these grassroots groups of neighborhood residents protect access to fresh food in Windsor Terrace, become a "block captain" and distribute information to everyone living on one particular block in the community. You don't have to live on that block.

Time is of the essence. The groups are trying to reach 5,000 signatures in the next three weeks on their petition to boycott Walgreens because of its refusal to either provide the neighborhood with sufficient fresh food or allow a supermarket to be built in a portion of the parking lot.

To sign up as a block captain, send an e-mail to Laura Jacobs at henriettacat @ hotmail.com that includes your name, e-mail address, phone number, and the name of the street you live on and its cross-streets.
