Art in the Garden
Saturday, June 2nd, 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Bring your art supplies--paint, pencils, paper, brushes, cups for water--to the East 4th Street Community Garden on Saturday and enjoy the garden in full bloom.
- Kid’s Crafts. 10:00 a.m. to noon
- Flower Arranging, led by Mylinh Nguyen. Supplies are included. The class is limited to 8 people. 11:00 a.m.
- Watercolor and Sketch Classes, led by Sherry Davis, local artist and teacher. noon to 2:00 p.m.
Sherry Davis is a Kensington-based artist whose favorite mediums are watercolor, pencil, pen-and-ink, ceramic underglaze, and, lately, acrylic. Her art is inspired by her neighborhood. Sherry is currently creating a mural for Iglesia Pentecostal on Church Avenue in the Ditmas section. www.sherrydavisart.com.
