SPRING POTLUCK AND SCREENING WITH COMPOST FOR BROOKLYN

Spring Potluck
Friday, March 23rd, 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Compost for Brooklyn is hosting a free potluck tomorrow night (bring a prepared dish of your choice), along with a free showing of the forty-two minute Food Network special "The Big Waste."

Miriam Garron, the series' Culinary Producer, a sous chef on "Throwdown! with Bobby Flay," and Compost for Brooklyn's Vice Chairperson, will be there to talk about the special in which noted chefs are challenged to create a multi-course gourmet meal for 100 people from food that would otherwise be thrown out because it's imperfect in some way and not considered "good enough" by/for the American consumer.

The event will take place in St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church. Go in through the back entrance of the church on Newkirk Avenue, between E. 8th Street and Ocean Parkway. Click here for directions and a map.
