"STORIES IN STONE NEW YORK" BOOK TALK

 

Stories in Stone New York: Book Talk and Trolley Tour
Sunday, October 2nd, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

From Green-wood Cemetery:
Join author and photographer Douglas Keister as he returns to Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel (5th Avenue at 25th Street) for a discussion of his newest book, Stories in Stone New York: A Field Guide to New York City Area Cemeteries & Their Residents
Keister will present stunning photographs of gracious architecture (including Green-Wood’s Historic Chapel), fabulous artwork, and memorable gravesites of famous and not-so-famous New York-area "residents" resting peacefully in its beautiful cemeteries, including Green-Wood. 
Following the book talk, Keister will be joined by Green-Wood’s historian Jeff Richman for a trolley tour to many of the locations within Green-Wood highlighted in Keister’s book.

Book talk: Free. Seating is limited. Reservations strongly recommended. 

Trolley tour: $10 for members of The Green-Wood Historic Fund/$20 for non-members. Seating is limited. Reservations strongly recommended.
