SINGLE-SPACE PARKING METERS BEING PHASED OUT

The Department of Transportation is in the process of installing muni-meters throughout New York City as replacements for single-space meters. Work was scheduled to begin in Brooklyn on August 9th in Park Slope. Installation will be finished by the end of June 2012. The specific locations of muni-meter installation work will be posted here at least thirty days before the work begins.
  • Learn how to use a muni-meter. Muni-meters accepts coins (quarters and dollar coins) and NYC Parking Cards. Credit cards are accepted at some muni-meters.
  • Find out which muni-meters accept credit cards. Some meters in each borough accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Discover Network.

The NYC Parking Card is sold in $20, $50, and $100 denominations.
