KARATE CLASSES WILL BEGIN SOON AT GREENWOOD PLAYGROUND

UPDATE: The karate classes have been canceled because of a misunderstanding with the Parks Department.

Karate Classes for Kids and Adults
Sunday, June 12th, 19th, and 26th

Friends of Greenwood Playground's Karate Classes for Kids and Adults, taught by Jeff Weber, begin this Sunday, June 12th, at the handball field in Greenwood Playground (Fort Hamilton Parkway and E. 5th Street). Pre-registration is required.


The classes are for three different age groups.

Pre-Karate League: Ages 4 to 7
Designed to improve motor skills and increase physical coordination.
Dates: June 12th, 19th, and 26th
Time: 8:30 a.m. to 8:55 a.m.
Cost: FREE. Pre-registration required.

Beginner Karate League: Ages 8 to 15
Stepping drills and more advanced games, kata (forms), partner techniques, and basic sparring.
Dates: June 12th, 19th, and 26th
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 9:25 a.m.
Cost: FREE. Pre-registration required.

Adult Karate League: Ages 16 and Up
For people who have never done karate and those who would like to perfect the basics.
Dates: June 12th, 19th, and 26th
Time: 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
Cost: $30. Pre-registration required.
