CAT RETRIEVED FROM TREE IS DOING BETTER

When the beautiful white cat we blogged about arrived at Sean Casey Animal Rescue yesterday, she was dehydrated and had a temperature of 105 degrees. A healthy cat's temperature ranges from 100.5 to 102.5. She's been receiving medical care and is doing much better today.

The cat doesn't have a microchip, so her owner hasn't been identified.

Sean speculates that the cat didn't climb down the tree because she was afraid to.

When she looked down from the great height she had climbed to, she may not have realized that she needed to--and could--back down. She might have thought that her only way down was by jumping onto branches, and she had climbed up a tree that doesn't have middle or lower branches.
